back from china!! =)
DAY 1 [22nd May] HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAI CHIN!!!
took the 1.15 am plane.. sat with liling and yingen.. had an enjoyable time 'bullying' yingen.. wahaha.. =) didnt really sleep much on the plane.. so ended up sleepy and tired.. then we reached shanghai.. checked into the hotel.. think its a 3 star hotel..no good.. the room had a 'smoky' smell.. eek. had lunch and then want to shanghai museum.. quite a nice place.. bought poker cards there!! saw the ones that li lao shi gave to wenqi.. 10RMB.. then we went to nanjing road.. didnt really see much.. went to kfc and watched amada and eunice eat egg tart.. regretted not eating it larh.. very nice lorh.. shanghai bookstore was very big.. 7 levels.. bought a storybook and 2 snoopy comic books for sis.. im so nice right? haha.. then we had dinner and took a boat ride around the wai tan which is the huangpu river.. ( i think..) nice scenery..
DAY 2 [23rd May]
went to hangzhou.. walked a lot.. went to yuewang temple.. which is also a place to remember yuefei.. think so.. then took a boat ride around xihu.. which is also known as westlake.. nothing interesting there leh.. after that was some more walking.. we went to linyin temple.. that place looked familiar.. walked around.. didnt go in though.. after dinner, we went to hefang street and took a look.. then we went for the show "xi hu zhi ye".. i thought it was quite boring leh.. but some people enjoyed it.. almost fell asleep.. maybe because i was too tired lorh.. the hangzhou hotel was nice.. =) too bad it was only for a night..
DAY 3 [24th May]
went to the longjing tea place.. quite nice larh the tea.. but i bought chrysanthenum tea instead.. cos mum said not to buy.. after that we headed for nanjing.. headed for the school and saw some of their things.. the school was very big larh.. even bigger than ahs.. (like duh..) then we went to fuzi miao.. the main thing was actually not the temple but the shoping areas.. bought a few keychains there.. then what happened after that i cant rmb le.. heh heh.. the hotel was quite good too.. only thing is that the toilet door could not be closed properly!!!
DAY 4 [25th May] HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOYANN!!
we were in the school the whole day with our buddies.. mine was li heng xin.. she's quite nice larh..had english lesson, math lesson (which i didnt understand a single bit of it), supposedly politics lesson(i think) but the teacher didnt come so we watched an english cartoon instead, and last was biology.. then had lunch.. loved their big, juicy, sweet watermelon that we had with lunch.. then we had taiji.. super boring.. almost fell asleep while doing.. =) heh heh.. then it was the welcome party.. they were GOOD.. could see that they really practiced A LOT for their performance.. we didnt do as well.. =S quite embarassing larh.. then we exchanged our gifts.. i got 5 stones and a coin from her.. =)
DAY 5 [26th May]
xuan wu hu was the first place of the day.. quite a nice place.. then we went to zi jin shan, tian wen tai.. then zhongshan lin.. i was 4th, which is also 3rd runner-up, to reach there! climbed up 392 stairs.. whahaha.. bought a fan for 12RMB.. got cheated larh.. the stall that sold the same fan at the bottom of the place was cheaper.. but anyways.. then we went to ming xiao lin.. that place was nice larh.. real nice.. i climbed up an animal.. but cant remember which one was it.. =D then we went to hunan street which was sort of a food street.. wanted to try the food but dared not.. scared later stomache.. then the trip would be ruined.. the bing tang hu lu was yummy! it had rice paper around it which made it not sticky to touch and in between the haws were slices of fruits.. yum.. bought poker cards again.. and some stationery..
DAY 6 [27th May]
went to nanjing museum.. not as nice as the shanghai one.. cos this was a guided tour.. not free and easy.. so everyone crowded around each exhibition.. then we went to nanjing changjiang da qiao (i think..) bought bracelets for grandma and mum.. then we went to shi tou cheng.. shurui fell into the pond larh.. poor her.. then gu lou was next.. nothing interesting there leh.. just a tower.. or maybe its just that i dont know how to appreciate it..
DAY 7 [28th May] HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENICE!!!
lessons again.. chinese lesson.. chim.. then math.. still didnt understand what they were teaching.. pe.. didnt really participate in the things they did.. followed by music.. boring larh.. almost fell asleep.. then had lunch.. loved their watermelon still!! had taiji after that.. then we went to a shopping centre near the hotel.. bought a tshirt, notebook, bag.. it was bargainable.. =D
DAY 8 [29th May]
last day in the school.. our buddies were having their exams.. we had a tour around the school.. the hostel was quite nice.. think its nicer than our school's.. then had lunch with the yummy delicious watermelon.. talked to my buddy for the last time.. then we went back to shanghai.. the bus ride took about 5 to 6 hours.. then we went to dong fang ming zhu after dinner.. the building was very high.. we took the lift up 200over storeys to look at the scenery.. the lights from the buildings were beautiful.. went back to the same lousy hotel..
DAY 9 [30th May] HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAI LAO SHI!! this was also our last day for the trip..
went to chenghuang miao.. like fuzi miao, the place was mainly shopping areas.. i bought quite a lot of things there.. hehheh.. then chai chin, tingwei, renice and i tried the xiao long bao.. yummy.. there was a long queue.. the xiao long bao was quite cheap.. 10RMB for 16 xiao long baos.. bought their te chans.. then we had lunch and took the manglev train to the airport.. super fast eh.. maximum speed was 431 km/hour.. wow.. then we reached the airport and took our luggages and bags.. took the 4.30pm flight back to singapore.. bye shanghai! bye china!
the trip was definately fun.. with the shopping, 'bridge-ing' time.. lalala.. all sorts of things.. whee...
